Role Overview
We are seeking a Driving Supervisor / Logistics Lead to oversee and execute the safe, efficient movement of our mobile espresso bars, equipment, and team across the Greater Toronto Area. This is a hands-on leadership role, you won’t just manage logistics; you’ll be in it. You will lead by example, driving company vehicles, coordinating deliveries, supervising loading/unloading, and ensuring every activation arrives on time and in perfect condition.You will also play a key role in setting the standard for safety, accountability, and operational excellence across our driver team.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Logistics Execution
- Operate company vehicles (including larger vans such as Ford Transit) safely and professionally
- Coordinate and execute deliveries, pickups, and on-site event logistics
- Load, unload, and transport heavy coffee equipment
- Ensure all deliveries are on time, accurate, and aligned with client expectations
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections
Team Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and support a team of drivers and event movers
- Lead by example with a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe driving practices
- Provide guidance, training, and real-time problem-solving support
- Assist in scheduling and dispatch coordination, often with short turnaround times
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all Ontario driving laws and workplace health & safety standards
- Maintain strict adherence to zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use while operating vehicles
- Ensure proper documentation, logs, and delivery confirmations are completed accurately
- Protect high-value equipment through careful handling and transport
Operational Excellence
- Act as the bridge between logistics, operations, and client experience
- Troubleshoot challenges on the road and at event sites
- Continuously identify ways to improve efficiency, routing, and team performance
- Represent Latte Booth professionally at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class G or Class A driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years of safe driving experience (clean driver’s abstract required)
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles (e.g., Ford Transit or similar)
- Experience with loading ramps, shunting, and moving large equipment
- Previous experience in logistics, delivery supervision, or team leadership is a strong asset
- Physically capable of lifting up to 65 kg (143 lb)
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to short-notice scheduling needs
- Strong customer service and communication skills
